Application

Apply to Join C.U.D. Origins™

Hoi An, Vietnam · – · 11 days · 10 nights · only 9 participants

C.U.D. is intentionally small. Not everyone who applies is invited to join.

I want to create a small group of people who are curious, open, considerate of others, and ready to experience Hoi An — and the people around them — in a more intentional way. I'm not looking for one specific personality type. You don't need to be an extrovert. You don't need to love group trips. You don't need to be the most talkative person at the table. What matters most is whether your way of travelling fits this particular experience.

Take a few minutes and answer honestly. There are no "right" answers here.

Section I — About You

Age range*

City / country

Are you travelling alone or with someone?*

I'm not asking why you want to visit Vietnam. I'm more curious why this particular way of travelling caught your attention.

2. Which statement feels closest to you right now?*

It doesn't have to be a long answer. I'm interested in your own interpretation.

Section II — Being Part of a Group

C.U.D. Origins™ is only 9 participants. You'll spend time together, eat at one table, explore Hoi An — but everyone will still have their own space.

4. Which answer describes you best?*

5. Imagine one day the group discovers something interesting and decides together to change part of the original plan. How would you feel about that?*

Section III — Slow Travel

7. Which do you choose?*

A — Ten attractions in one day. B — Three meaningful experiences and plenty of time between them.

8. How do you feel about a whole day with no fixed plan — a day where you only decide in the morning whether you want to grab a coffee, go back into Hoi An, stay by the pool, head to the beach, or simply not plan anything at all?*

Section IV — Human Connection

C.U.D. is not therapy, and no one will expect you to talk about anything you don't want to share. At the same time, real conversations, shared meals and time spent together are part of the experience.

9. How do you feel about conversations touching on more personal experiences in a small group?*

10. Which of these conversations interests you the most?*

Section V — Alcohol and the Nature of the Trip

11. C.U.D. Origins™ is not a party trip. Wine or other alcohol may appear at some dinners or evenings, but heavy drinking or behaviour that disrupts other guests' comfort isn't in keeping with the nature of this experience. Does that suit you?*

12. Which answer best describes your approach to alcohol while travelling?*

Section VI — Expectations

It's not about material things. What would you like to feel, understand, remember or change?

You can answer very honestly.

Section VII — Boundaries and Shared Space

C.U.D. includes shared meals, group conversations, meetings with local people, cultural experiences and moments of reflection.

15. How do you feel about taking part in moments like these?*

Section VIII — Your Way of Travelling

17. Picture an ideal evening during C.U.D. Which option speaks to you the most?*

Section IX — One Last Thing

This could be something about your way of travelling, your character, your expectations, or simply something you consider important. This question is optional.
